Horncastle Town Council  agreed with East Lindsey District Council to work in co-operation to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for the Parish of Horncastle.

In order to produce the Plan a Steering Group was established in 2013 which consisted of a manageable number of Horncastle Parish residents and two members of Horncastle Town Council.  It held regular meetings and  gathered responses from residents relating to housing need, commercial development and general infrastructure.  The Society was consulted as part of this process.

The Plan was accepted in 2016.  It sets out planning policies for Horncastle, and forms the basis for determining planning applications.

It covers the 15 year period between 2014 and 2029 and can be viewed at the East Lindsey District Council website.
