It’s very easy to become a member of the Society.
Why not come to one of our meetings to find out what we offer? You’ll find them listed on our Events page.
The subscription for the year 2025-26 is £20 for joint membership (two people in the same household) or £15 for single membership. For junior members (under 16), it’s just £6. Corporate membership is also available, priced at £60.
Or why not take out a life membership? Joint life membership (two people in the same household) comes in at £400, and £300 for single.
MEMBERSHIP FEES AND RENEWALS
Subscriptions are due on the 1st April. You can pay by bank transfer to our account no 35862760, sort code 30-99-50, with your name as a reference. Or you can pay by cash or card at one of our talks. Thank you for your continued support!
But what do you get?
- Well, our speakers will often open up a whole new world to you. Horncastle has a fascinating history and we seek to explore its many facets.
- We review planning applications for the conservation area, and often the town too, and you’ll get the opportunity to make your voice heard.
- There are lots of projects you can get involved in to enhance the town and protect its environment. Just ask us or see our Facebook pages!
- Free access to our archives, which can help when you’re working on a project or you’re just interested in the town.
- Our monthly talks by experts, often but not always about local history.
- Money off the admission fee to our talks, so your sub can pay for itself over the year.
- Visits to interesting venues, usually with a heritage theme.
- You can get involved in events such as our History days.
- You’ll meet a group of interesting, informed and welcoming people.
How much you get involved is your call, but we’ll offer you a wider knowledge of your town – and the opportunity to help protect it and improve it.
